The North Shore Montessori Primary Development Trust is calling for nominations to stand for the Management Committee at the Annual General Meeting.

Much has happened since the last AGM, and the Trust is intending to be an important part in ensuring that there is a Montessori primary education presence on the North Shore.

There is much that the Trust can do to support the efforts currently being undertaken in the North Shore Montessori Community, and it is through membership and active participation as part of the Management Committee that the Trust can be successful in assisting these efforts.

The current positions held are listed as follows:

The Trust deed demands that all members must resign at the AGM and if desired, re-stand for election. As such all positions are available for nomination.

With the Trust currently not directly operating a Montessori Unit, it is reasonable to expect the the roles and work load for future Management Committee members to be some what different from the past.

The potential is to be part of scoping the next chapter for the Trust. It is an exciting prospect for the future of Montessori primary education on the North Shore.

Nominations to the Management Committee must be in writing (please click here to download the nomination form) and must reach the Secretary by 21 June 2010. Nominations will be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting only for positions for which no valid written nomination has been received.

North Shore Montessori Primary Development Trust

The 2010 Annual General Meeting of the North Shore Montessori Primary Development Trust will be held at Titoki Montessori School (70a Stredwick Drive, Torbay, North Shore City) at 7:30pm on Monday, 28 June 2010. Please click on this link to download the notice of the AGM.

As you will be aware, at the end of Term One the Trust closed the Montessori Primary Unit operating at the Corelli School in Browns Bay. Despite this, the Trust will continue to pursue the objects of the trust deed, namely to promote and develop Montessori primary education on the North Shore.

With this in mind, the Trust is calling for new members. We are seeking people who have an interest in Montessori primary education on the North Shore and wish to participate in the Trust’s activities.

Becoming a member is easy: just complete the membership application form and send it to the trust together with $10 annual subscription. The form can be downloaded here. Completed forms can be e-mailed to secretary@northshoremontessori.org.nz; or posted to:
